Captain Elechi Amadi Polytechnic, Rumuola in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State has has suspended a lecturer, Mr. Tamunotonye Zoe Solomon, for three months over sexual harassment and detention of of a female student, Miss Blessing Audu whom she accused of diverting his N250,000.
The Polytechnic has also set up an investigative panel to probe the allegations of sexual harassment against the lecturer.
The panel was given one month to investigate the allegation against Solomon and submit its report to the management of the institution.
Registrar of the institution Mr.Chris Nwoke, in a statement said the panel was set up to investigate the alleged sexual harassment of Blessing Audu, who was arrested by the police following on allegation by Solomon that she diverted his N250, 000.

The student who was detained by the Police for two days was released on the intervention of the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Eboka Friday after a human rights group and her the family members drew attention to her plight.
Miss Audu had denied diverting money belonging to the lecturer.
She insisted she was victimized and arrested by the Police by the Police on the false allegations by the lecturer because she rejected his love advances and Marriage proposal.
“He employed me as an Office Assistant. In less than two weeks he started making sexual advances which I rejected. He even promised to marry me on some occasions he knelt down crying for me to accept which I rejected. I had to resign.
“However, prelude to Yuletide period, he sent Police to arrest me on my way from Salon where I doing part time jobs and I handcuffed detained as common criminal”, Miss Blessing Audu said
