Juventus manager, Max Allegri has banned forward, Cristiano Ronaldo from taking certain free-kicks at the club ahead of his side’s Champions League clash with Manchester United on Wednesday night.
Allegri said he has decided to ban Ronaldo from taking the club’s close range set pieces going forward, adding that the 33-year-old would only take long range free-kicks for the Turin club.
He also said that midfielder, Miralem Pjanic and forward, Paulo Dybala are now in charge of taking close set pieces for Juve.
“Ronaldo is a smart guy, he knows Pjanic and Dybala are excellent free-kick takers and they are going to take those close to the area,†Express UK quoted Allegri as saying.
“When there are free kicks from far away, Ronaldo can kick them but we’ve decided that Dybala and Pjanic will take the set pieces close to the area.â€

Meanwhile, Allegri’s men defeated Cagliari 3-1 over the weekend in the Serie A fixture.
Juve will host United on Wednesday night in the Champions League after defeating the Old Trafford club 1-0 last month.
