There could not have been any befitting coronation than what Chief Almaroof Bamidele Onifade experienced at the Saint Kizito Catholic College, behind Ifelodun Local Government Secretariat, Ikirun, the State of Osun on Tuesday, August 13, 2019.
At the reception, Kings after Kings poured encomiums and prayers on the new Elemo Aga of Ikirunland, Chief Onifade. He was described as a likeable personality and ‘a man of the people’ who have done immensely for the betterment of his people and for the economic development of Ikirunland and its environs.

In his short speech made available to SOJ WORLDWIDE ONLINE NEWS, the celebrant, the Elemo Aga said Akirun of Ikirun, Oba Rauf Olayiwola Olawale, is a unique King whose care of indigene of Ikirunland is second to none and paramount in his mind hence the award of Member of the Federal Republic (MFR) was conferred on him by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
He went further,
“all the Obas from far and near who witnessed today’s coronation did so not because of me but because of the entire indigenes of Ikirunland. I thank all the ‘Kabiyesis’ who came to honour us today, starting from Osolo of Isolo in Lagos, he is my father, I used his presence to greet all ‘Obas’ and Chiefs in attendance.”
“I pray that I will not be put to shame before you. As we have journeyed through the past years till date I have not let you down, therefore, I will not let you down at this time you have honoured me with this Chieftaincy title.”

“It was over five years now that the ELEMO AGA stool had been vacant, we thank God that made us chose this day that it came to pass without any form of disaster or tragedy.”
“I thank ‘Kabiyesi’ who decorated me and give me this ‘Staff’ of Office as the 11th Elemo Aga of Ikirunland.”
He pleaded with all the fans of Alabi Pasuma not to cause trouble and that they should maintain the peace that the indigenes are noted for.
On the bandstand was the Fuji Star, Alhaji Alabi Pasuma who thrilled the mammoth crowd with sonorous songs, guitar, trumpet and drums that compelled some of the Nollywood stars like Elesho and others to mount the stage with their dancing steps with the Fuji star.
Space would not be able to contain notable personalities who graced the historic event but few of those the catches the glimpse of our reporter are; Akirun of Ikirun, Oba Rauf Olayiwola Olawale, Oba Olowu Kuta, HRM Oba Adekunle Oyelude Makama, Asolo of Isolo, HRM Oba Dr John Adebayo Adeyemi, His Royal Majesty Oba Gbadabiu the Olukotun Of Ikotun Land and a host of others.
