Four deadly kidnappers who specialized in Kidnapping innocent citizens using the Facebook, WhatsApp to lure their victims were arrested by the Rivers State Police Command in collaboration with the Intelligence Response Team (IRT).

The nabbed suspects are identified simply as:Izunna Fidelis, aged 21,Humble Unity Okeregwu, aged 24, Izuchukwu Nwaobiri, aged 22 and Chibeze Nwike, aged 23.
During the interrogation the suspects admitted during to have kidnapped, tortured, assault and robbed their victims. According to them, they have admitted that their targets were usually female and that they have successfully collected ransoms from at least ten 10 females since January 2021, with N5 million as their highest ransom.

According to the statement from the police, the arrest followed a report of kidnapping for ransom and the gang-sexual assault of a 27-year-old lady identified simply as Happiness, on August 28, 2021.
It has further been reported that they take to their respective Facebook pages posing as foreigners working in Multi-National oil companies in Rivers state and professing love as well as proposing marriage to their Facebook girlfriends, all in a bid to trap them.
