Senator Kwankwaso will floor President Buhari in 2019 elections – NUP Chairman, Chief Opara

Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has gained the support of the National Chairman of National Unity Party (NUP) with the assurance that the former governor of Kano State will beat President Buhari hands down in 2019.

Opara told newsmen in Abuja that defeating President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019 might be difficult but that a personality with clout like Kwankwaso would emerge victorious.
He urged the Senator to run on the platform of the NUP, saying Nigerians were ready for new leadership.
“Buhari has a cult-like followership in the far North while Senator Kwankwaso has the strongest political movement that cuts across the nation”, Daily Trust quoted him as saying.
“If Kwankwaso decides to run for the presidency in 2019 on the NUP platform, and if he decides to take his vice presidential candidate from the South, particularly a devout Christian, humble, popular and young, he will win the 2019 presidential election.
“Senator Kwankwaso talks less, has a calm disposition, is less controversial and he does more work than he talks. He respects the young and the aged and flows freely with both genders,” he added.

Some top officials of Kwankwaso’s group, Kwankwasiyya Movement, had attended the NUP’s National Harmonisation and Integration’ meeting held in Abuja last Wednesday.
Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso was a two term governor of Kano State, a former Minister of Defence under the administration of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. Senator Kwankwaso is currently a serving senator representing Kano Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly.
It would be recalled that Senator Kwankwaso was a runner-up to President Muhammadu Buhari at the APC primaries in Lagos before the 2015 presidential elections.

His movement, KWANKWASO MOVEMENT cut across the length and breadth of the country with supporters that also cut across all religious background, the youths, the elders, academics, the professionals, artisans, men women.
Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso is a man to beat in the forthcoming presidential elections 2019.
