SUSPECTED Fulani Herders set houses ablaze, kill 11 in Benue

SUSPECTED Fulani Herders have set scores of houses ablaze while 11 persons were confirmed killed in a renewed massacres in Igama and Edumoga Ehaje areas of Okpokwu Local Government Area of Benue State.

Herdsmen were blamed for the attack, which took place yesterday.

The Nation was told that that many buildings in the communities have been razed down by the attackers.

The attack was said to have struck fear in the hearts of neighbouring villagers, who reportedly fled their homes in the aftermath of the yesterday’s incidents.

Senator Abba Moro confirmed the assault on the two communities in a Facebook post.

The Senator hails from Okpokwu local government Area.

Police Spokesperson Kate Anene did not reply text messages our correspondent sent to her nor did she take her calls.
