I don’t know how he did it, but I don’t think any other person in APC would have been able to do it. No political pundit gave him a chance.

Long before the campaign started after he had made his intention known to Buhari, a radio program in Abuja streamed the topic and the callers were extremely brutal with venom. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER everyone of them ended their calls.

I remembered that I made a post on that program where I said, NEVER is just a word, it won’t amount to anything if you don’t get off your Butt and do the needful. He will win and nothing will happen.

Before the primary election was the choice of party chairman. According to what we heard, his choice was senator Almakura former governor of Nasarawa State.

However, Senator Abdullahi Adamu emerged and the pundits roared again, “we said it, it’s over for him” but he visited the chairman the next day after the election, to congratulate him and show his solidarity, bàbá knows what he was doing.

After that, the screening committee was inaugurated and John Odigie Oyegun former Chairman of the party who was believed not to be in good term with him was made the chairman of the screening committee. Again, his critics started again, “this is it, he will be screened out, picking Oyegun was deliberate and strategic” but he was the first person to be screened and cleared.

Then, the race to primary election began, there were conspiracy theories over conspiracy theories, gang up over gang ups, people started, HE CAN NEVER GET THE TICKET, I remember Rufai of Arise TV said APC will be divided into five factions after primary election.

A man took it personal by swearing to me that he won’t even get 50% of South west delegates talk less of winning the primary. When I asked how he arrived at his conclusions, he said, there’s Amosun factor in Ogun, Akeredolu factor in Ondo, Fayemi factor in Ekiti and Aregbesola factor in Osun. I just laughed. You must have seriously underrated this man, I said to him.

At the end Amosun, and Fayemi were part of the people that stepped down for him at eagle SQUARE. Akeredolu was the leader of his campaign team in South West.

Then the vicious attacks started, they said he wee and poo on his body, they doctored his speeches and his pictures, they brought out dead lies, they gave meanings to his words, when he said EMILOKAN they said he was claiming ownership of Nigeria. They composed songs, they did possession, all to malign him.

The churches took the election as their project, declaration upon declaration, prophecy upon prophecy, no one of them hid the fact that they didn’t want him. One even said we are going to hell if we don’t vote their candidate who is one of his opponents. Oh it was rigorous.

The most amazing thing was Buhari’s body language, for seven years of his administration, not once did we have fuel scarcity, all of a sudden, fuel scarcity began at the election year, so much so that it became unbearable, the anger towards the government and by extention towards APC became so palpable that it could be touched, yet the government seems not to bother.

Then comes the last straw that broke the camel’s back, the draconian policy, CASH CRUNCH. This was where I got broken, this was where my hope began to shake, how can a government that shared trader moni weeks before election in 2019 decide to confiscate cash in 2023? Especially when its party is on the ballot? There it became more logical that there is a grand plan to stop this man even within his party and presidency.

The opposition began to sing praise of their hitherto enemy, the pastors began to praise it as a great policy. A man told me that he heard it on good authority that He has printed a shipload of currency to be used to buy votes, he said that’s what Buhari wanted to stop. So laughable right? Yet they ran with it. An individual went outside the country to print money? 😜 what a powerful man. In all these, he kept his cool.

Ẹ LỌ F’ỌKÀNBALẸ̀. He declared

The master strategist was in charge, they wanted him to lose focus but he refused, TV stations began to openly invite him for interviews, he ignored them. They tried to provoke him to wrath by bringing out lies upon lies. Arise TV through Rufai Oseni said he did nothing in Lagos, they said he must attend their debates, still, he ignored them.

From he can’t ever get the ticket, to the northerners will show him shege, to the northern governors will betray him at the last minute, they kept setting booby traps in their imagination and he kept escaping them, then the election came…. and the results began to roll in, traditional states were being lost and things became scarier, but in all these he kept his cool.

Ẹ LỌ F’ỌKÀNBALẸ̀

The job was done, election was won and lost but some people still said no, he won’t be sworn in. The results were not uploaded in irev, therefore it’s not tenable. Even though they haven’t given a different result from what was announced and uploaded so far.

Then the inauguration day came, eagle Square was set, dignitaries were seated and the occasion began, I kept expecting an order to come from somewhere, I thought the headless mobs have something up their sleeves, before then they tried to provoke an uprising but it didn’t happen. Their candidate and his vice were issuing statements capable of gas lighting the public, but Nigerians didn’t buy their story. A guy on airplane tried to pull muttallab on us just to spark a protest, thinking that people will revolt, but because the election reflected the wish of the majority, nothing happened.

A young writer overrated herself by writing to white house not to recognize a democratically elected government in Nigeria, simply because her candidate didn’t win, well, I doubt if her letter even got there, you know, Africans have a way of overrating themselves when they acquire little success. Not only did they recognize the winner, the chief of staff issued a former congratulatory message and a powerful delegation was sent by the president.

One region that can’t be cheated in elections in Nigeria is the northern region, they won’t ever accept any election that didn’t reflect their wish. Even though this election was so close in the north, they knew who won, so you can’t cajole them to stupid protest.

ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU , the jagaban borgu, akanbi ọmọ olodo ide was sworn in as the 16th president of federal republic of Nigeria on the 29th of May 2023 and guess what? HEAVEN DIDN’T FALL.

Except the court of competent jurisprudence says otherwise, he will be our president for the next four years, therefore, you better find a way to make good of his policies or better still, JAPA. As for me and my family, we shall eat the good of the land! Amen!!.
