The Osun State wing of the Kwakwansiyya Movement has condemned in strong terms the advice given by the Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Yusuf.to Senator Rabiu Kwakwanso not to visit his constituency in Kano Central Senatorial District.
In a press release at the weekend, the Coordinator of the Movement in Osun State, Chief Biodun Owoeye said “it is strange that Senator Kwakwanso who was a two term governor of Kano State now a serving Senator in the same state is being prevented from relating with his constituency The function of a serving Senator have been eroded because he is being prevented to access and supervise all his constituency projects in his district and to give the electorates that voted for him a feedback.

“It is unfortunate that Senator Kwakwanso is being treated as an outcast in a state he delivered to President Buhari with the highest number of votes in 2015 presidential elections.
The state’s coordinator therefore advised the Kano Police Command to rescind its action as it has a political undertone.
He said further that “the duty of the police is to protect every citizen, lives and properties under its jurisdiction and Senator Kwakwanso is not an exception.

“The visit of their principal, Senator Rabiu Kwakwanso is sacrosanct on January 30, 2018, therefore it is the responsibility of the police to make sure it maintained peace and orderliness on the day of the visit.
“Our principal is a peace loving Nigerian who would not do anything that would subject him to any form of ridicule.â€
