Barça defenders Umtiti and Digne open the door to Ousmane Demeble
Bellerin, Verratti and Dembele. There are the three players Barcelona want to strengthen their squad for next season. Clear targets, but none of them will be easy to sign. And none will be cheap. Far from it.
What does seem clear is that all three names are well viewed by both fans and players at the club. That’s certainly the case with Borussia Dortmund’s Ousmane Dembele. The French international has received the backing of two of his compatriots already playing at Camp Nou.
We’re referring to Lucas Digne and Samuel Umtiti. On Sunday, speaking to Telefoot, both players gave their blessing to the arrival of the 20-year-old forward.
“He’s old enough to leave him to make decisions on his own,” said Umtiti, who previously confirmed Barça are looking for a player with Dembele’s profile. “But as I have already said, I would welcome him in Barcelona with open arms.”
And Digne agreed, adding: “The statistics speak for themselves, he’s a super player. Of course I would welcome him at Barca, it would be a pleasure. All good players are welcome.”
