A middle-aged man, Fatai Adegoke, and a 29-year-old woman, Khadijah Adeleke, have been arraigned before an Osogbo Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly killing a pregnant woman.
The accused were on Wednesday arraigned before Magistrate M. A. Awodele, but their plea was not taken.
It was gathered that the suspects allegedly killed one Risikat Adegoke on Saturday, October 27, 2018, thereby committing an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 324 of the Criminal Code.

According to the charge sheet, as a result of the attack, Risikat died on November 15, 2018, around 6.30pm.
It was also stated that the suspects, by their actions, prevented Risikat from being delivered of her seven-month-old pregnancy, thereby committing an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 328, Criminal Code Law of Osun State of Nigeria, 2003.

Magistrate Awodele ruled that the case should be transferred to the Federal High Court for mention on February 10, 2019.
She also told the police to duplicate the case file and send a copy to the office of the state’s Director of Public Prosecutions for advice.
