Unusual Borno State Gov Zulum Does Unusual Appointments In His State

The governor of Borno State, Babagana Zulum who was in the news recently for confronting security agents over extortion from the poor travellers has added another unusual action by appointing two non-indigenes from Oyo and Anambra States into his cabinet.

But governor Zulum has come out to give his reason for doing so. In explanation for his reasons of the appointment, governor Zulum, who was represented by the deputy governor Umar Kadafur, said that both Ugualili and Alao, are residents of the state, and have been strong supporters of the Borno chapter of the APC.

Unity in Nigeria has been one of the major problems the country have been facing since independence. But the actions of governor Zulum, though frowned at by many, may yet bring the idea of hope to a rather hopeless situation.
