AFTER the news of involvement of a younger of Hotelier, Gbenga Owolabi went viral on Sunday, a family source debunked the story saying there was no one bearing Femi Owolabi in their family. He went further that police did not arrest any member of their family in connection with the death of the son.

Meanwhile, Security Task Force including Operation Burst, Amotekun and local Vigilantes have stormed the forests in Ogbomoso area in search of the kidnappers who kidnapped Owolabi same day he arrived Nigeria from USA and got killed along with a final year student of LAUTECH, Rachael.
There were reports that the security personnel succeeded in making some critical arrests but yet to disclose the identity of the suspects while some of the criminals were killed in the process. Arms and ammunition were also recovered during the operation.
A hotel, which was said to be owned by a retired security agent, was angrily destroyed by the security agents. The hotel was said to be used as a meeting point by some criminals, The Guardian reported on Monday.
There are also reports that a makeshift shop by a tea vendor, popularly known as ‘Mai tea’, which criminals used as an armoury, was uncovered by the security agents.

The Commandant of Amotekun Corps in Oyo, Colonel Olayinka Adeyanju (rtd), confirmed to journalists that a clearance operation is going on in the area.
Recall that gunmen had on July 28 abducted a hotelier, Mr Olugbenga Owolabi; a final year student of LAUTECH, Rachael Opadele and killed them after collecting a N5 million ransom.
