Governor Ayodele Fayose took an elder statesman, a three time Head of State of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo to the cleaners in a gathering at the state capital, Ado-Ekiti.

“When Obasanjo could come out with a ROTTEN MOUTH to come and be condemning PDP for which you have been President for eighth years, that gave you a platform from prison.
A man when we saw the picture when Obasanjo was released by Gen. Abdulsalam you will not allow such a man to seat beside you. The same man is coming and opening the library. My N10m is part of his library o, we were made to pay N10m as governors in 2005 and I have written to him to return that money into my account.
How can Nigerians be celebrating a corrupt man, corrupt man, this is the worst ever, worst ever. He should put interest on that N10m, I contributed N10m, I stand to be corrected.
All of you are afraid of what? When you are saying Obasanjo will do like this, Obasanjo will do what! His time has come and gone, we are in the centre of the business now, I am the governor now, where is he?..”
