It takes a leader with wisdom to discern when trouble is looming; this was the story of former governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso when he decided to stay away from the venue of APC National Convention on Saturday.

Many would be wondering why he had to stay away, the story is not farfetched, seeing what happened between Imo and Delta State delegates justify why Kwankwaso had to stay away.
Senator Kwankwaso said in a statement on Sunday; “Therefore, I felt that presenting ourselves at such an important event will not be in the overall interest of the entire convention that is assuming we are allowed access into the convention ground.
“Because there are high chances that our presence could create embarrassments and a lot of friction similar or even worse than what occurred in the pavilions of delegations from Imo and Delta States during yesterday’s convention. However, as the new EXCO settles to start the efforts of uniting the party we wish you the very best,â€
Many rivers to cross for the ruling All Progressives Congress because trouble is far from being over in the party as delegates from Imo and Delta States threw caution into the wing in a free for all fight at the venue. This was at a time President Muhammadu Buhari was delivering his speech.

It was gathered trouble began when a group loyal to Imo State Governor Rochas arrived at the stand reserved for Imo delegates and ordered others loyal to his deputy, Eze Madumere, to vacate the seats.
The order was resisted leading to fisticuffs with the private security of the governor allegedly getting involved with some people forcefully removed.
Just as security officials were trying to bring the situation under control the delegates from Delta State got engaged in an even more violent brawl.

The brawl was allegedly between supporters of O’Tega Emerhor and a former governorship candidate in the state, Great Ogboru.
According to delegates from the group, the faction loyal to O’Tega Emerhor had stepped out to eat but was stunned when they returned and found out that they had been unseated by another faction.

Their attempt to take their seats back ended in violence.
This occurred despite the heavy security presence at the venue of the convention which has President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, and the who is who of the party.
