THERE is no sermon you can preach to any hungry man that could make him reason with you.  One of the Yoruba adages said, “eni ti ebi npa ko gbo iwaasu”.

This was the situation on Sunday, July 30, 2023 in Adamawa State when some frustrated and hungry residents of the state trooped out to loot foodstuffs and stole some home appliances in government warehouses to send a strong message to the government that they are ‘not at ease’.

SOJ WORLDWIDE reported that the Governor of the State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri had since declared a 24-hour curfew to prevent the crisis from spreading to other areas in the State.
