The State of Osun governor, Gboyega Oyetola reiterated the commitment of his administration to providing infrastructure and quality education to its teeming youths in the state.
Governor Oyetola who was represented by his deputy, Benedict Gboyega Alabi stated this at the final football march of 2019 Principals’ Soccer Competition on Wednesday 6th of March, 2019 at Oshogbo Government High School, Oshogbo.

The competition which was organized by All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS) started on December 7th, 2018 and was categorized into three; Middle Schools, Females, and High Schools categories.
The finals of the competition and the winners across the categories are; for the Middle Schools category: Islahudeen Middle School, Iwo defeated St. Lawrence Middle School, Ilesha with 4 goals to 2; Female Category: Orimalade High School, Ikirun, defeated Community Middle High School, Odogbo Ijesha with 2 goals to zero, and for the high school category: Methodist High School, Ilesha, defeated Community Middle/High School, Arutu, Oyi Araromi with penalty kicks after a 1-1 draw during the match, while the overall winner of the competition who got the highest Gold medal was the Ife zone.

Governor Oyetola who happened to be the Chairman of the day stated that, as it has been known to everyone that human development is so Paramount to the government led by APC, that is why the government of the day will be more devoted to education and sports.
“I am happy that we have amenities to practice Athletics and we will make sure that we look into the affairs of our education and sports.”
Ogbeni Oyetola reaffirmed the government’s commitment to creating an enabling environments for the people of the state by providing adequate infrastructure for all round education of our children.

The governor urged the people to support the government by electing people that are progressive in nature, so that they will be able to fulfill their promises.
“We implore you to take the message to your parents at home that they should all come out en mass on Saturday and vote for the progressive people that will support the government so that our electioneering promises will be fulfilled and well executed.”
The Deputy Governor, State of Osun, Mr. Benedict Alabi, who was the Chief guest of honour at the event was decorated as the life Patron of ANCOPPSS.
He appreciate all the members of ANCOPSS. He also advice the Youth to be more diligent in their education and embrace athletics spirit in a responsible manner.

“We encourage our Youths to be more serious and committed in whatever things they are doing so that their parents and even the government will be more proud of them in the nearest future.”
In attendance at the event were the representatives of the Chief Justice of the state of Osun, Mrs Adepele Ojo, the Head of service, Dr. Festus Olowogboyega Oyebade, former ANCOPSS Chairman, Prince F.A. Adejumo, Mrs A.K. Oladimeji, former commissioner for education, Mr Wasiu Omotunde Young, former Chairman Osun quality assurance and morality office, Dr. Isaac Owoaade.
