No doubt, sex is one of the most pleasurable moments among lovers. Besides procreation, sex has several health benefits which includes preserving heart health in some people, reducing blood pressure and stress, and boosting immunity and libido.
But just like everything in life, having too much sex is unhealthy, especially for women.
Here are what happens if a woman engages in too much sex than her body can handle.
1) Swelling
Too regular and rough sex can make your genital sore and swollen. It can also lead to a condition called vaginal excoriation. Vaginal excoriation happens when there is too much friction during sex which will further lead to the scrapping off of the vulva skin during penetration.

This condition can lead to hurtful urination, difficulty in walking, and swollen vagina.
2) High risk of contracting UTI
Women who are sexually active are at a higher risk of contracting Urinary tract infections (UTIs) UTI than those who are not.
This risk gets higher if a woman has multiple sex partners because frequent sexual intercourse transmits bacteria into a woman’s urinary tract which can lead to the development of a UTI.
3) Dehydration
During sexual intercourse, partners usually sweat and lose a lot of water from the body. So, if you engage in too much sex, you will lose excessive water due to sweating which can lead to dehydration.

Lower back pain
Too regular sex can lead to chronic lower back pain. Lower back pain is mostly caused by a torn/pulled muscle or ligament. Occasional lower back pain may be normal but when it becomes extreme, it’s a warning that you should adjust your sex life.
4) Weak immunity
During sex, hormones like prostaglandin E-2 are released into the blood. These hormones are produced due to tissue damage and further cause inflammation, pain, or fever when healing.
5) Damaged tissues

inflammations, fever, and pain can lead to weak body immunization, muscular pain, nerve pain, and damaged tissues.

Sex is an activity that involves a lot of energy and it also helps to burn body calories. During sex, norepinephrine, adrenaline, and cortisol are released into the bloodstream which helps increase heart rate and blood pressure.
Therefore, it will be a tiring experience for your body if it has to go through that process regularly. That means it is important that you should check your sex life and adjust where necessary to ensure you are not always exhausted.
