UPDATE: Yoruba Council Of Youths Form Alliance With Omoluabis Of Netherlands Ahead Of 2nd World Omoluabi Festival

The Yoruba Council of Youths Worldwide alongside Chief Mrs. Elisabeth Shola King, President of Omoluabi Association Netherlands have agreed to come together to promote Yoruba heritage, foster unity and peace among the Yoruba’s in Nigeria and in the diaspora.

In a Press Release made available to SOJ WORLDWIDE ONLINE NEWS, the alliance was in line with the 2020 2nd World Omoluabi Day Festival and awards slated for May 1, 2020. This year’s 2nd anniversary is meant to be more elaborate and fascinating in order to project Yoruba cultural heritage to the outside world.

YCYW AND OAN STRIKES ALLIANCE AHEAD OF OMOLUABI FESTIVAL 2020

Ahead of the biggest Yoruba festival and largest gathering of all indigenous people of Yoruba Land globally: 2nd World Omoluabi Day Festival and Awards Tagged: “Isokan Omoluabi” slated for Friday 1st of May, 2020 at the Palace of the Ooni of Ife, Enuwa, Ile Ife, Osun State by 11.a.m, under the Royal Authority of His Imperial Majesty, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi, Ojaja 11, The Ooni of Ife and other like future programs in Yoruba Land and globally, this two leading socio-cultural organizations: Yoruba Council of Youths Worldwide (YCYW) and
Omoluabi Association Netherlands (OAN) has officially assent to the joint interests to strike a strong alliance for the growth of Yoruba race and her cultural heritage.

In a statement jointly released on 6th January, 2019 by representatives of the two groups: Aare Barr. Oladotun Hassan, President of the Yoruba Council of Youths Worldwide alongside Chief Mrs. Elisabeth Shola King, President of Omoluabi Association Netherlands that this is indeed the official confirmation of a new dawn of a strategic partnership that will further put the Yoruba Cultural Heritage in the right footing, strengthen our unity and protect our interest wherever we may find ourselves worldwide.

In line with the exchanged letters signed between the Scribe of both organizations: Otunba Bambo Tajudeen, The General Secretary of the OAN delivered on the 5th day of January, 2020 and Abdulhakeem Adeleke, General Secretary of the YCYW, which indicated mutual vigor and clearly indicated mutual respects and partnership for a greater alliance.

The leadership and entire members of the Yoruba Council of Youths Worldwide (YCYW); the foremost and highly, respected Yoruba youths’ organisation in the world, sincerely appreciates this rear and impeccable gesture exhibited by the leadership of the OAN in the overall interest of promoting, progressing, and protecting Yoruba Cultural Heritage and Omoluabi principles, which the two organisations represent.

One will recall that the maiden edition of the World Omoluabi Day was endorsed and launched last year 1st of May, 2019 by the spiritual head of the Yoruba race; His Imperial Majesty, Ooni Ogunwusi, which recorded huge turnouts of eminent sons and daughters of Oduduwa from all works of life, featuring Public Lecture, Awards and different cultural displays of the Yoruba aesthetic arts and culture at its peak, wherein this year’s edition hope to surpass with additional side attractions and epoch-making events such as:
Omoluabi Football Championships, Ewa Omoluabi Beauty Pergent, Asa Omoluabi Nite and launching of Omoluabi Magazine and Omoluabi World Emporium on a 10 Acres of Land within Ile-Ife Resorts ambience.
