THE Yoruba Nation, a self-determination movement, Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide in the Southwest seemed to be in disarray following the resignation of its Spokesman,, Maxwell Adeleye on Friday from his position, he equally renounced his membership of the group.
Adeleye is also demanding accountability from the former leader of the group, Professor Banji Akintoye whom he asked to hand off the organisation for proper auditing of his stewardship.
He made his resignation public on Friday via a press statement.
Earlier in December 2022, Akintoye resigned and handed the leadership mantle to his former Deputy Secretary, Professor Wale Adeniran.
But Adeleye in his statement, Friday, said he had stepped down as Akintoye’s Communications Manager since August 2022, and asked the former Yoruba Nation leader to allow a proper audit of his tenure.
